BUFFALO, NY - Three jurors have been dismissed from the Mo Hassan trial. There is now only one alternate.
Attorney Jeremy Schwartz confirmed that the two seated jurors and one alternate were officially dismissed on the first day of testimony.
Schwartz says if two more people have to be dismissed, this case could be declared a mistrial and the process would start all over again. "We can't have a jury of less than 12," said Schwartz.
A source familiar with the case told 2 On Your Side that one juror was dismissed because a family member suffered a heart attack.
The jury now consists of seven men and five women. There is only one alternate juror remaining.
