Five Star Bank in Pavilion Robbed

PAVILION, N.Y. - The Genesee County Sheriff's Office is currently searching for the person who robbed a Five Star Bank in the town of Pavilion Friday afternoon.

Officials say the suspect robbed the bank around 3:36 p.m. and threatened use of a handgun, however no weapon was shown and nobody was injured.

It is believed that the suspect got into a vehicle waiting outside the building and fled the area.

The suspect is described as a black male, believed to be in his mid-twenties. He is approximately 5'8" to 6' tall with a thin to medium build. He was wearing a red baseball hat, a blue and white button down shirt, blue jeans, and purplish blue reflective sunglasses.

It is unknown how much money was taken.
