HOLLAND, N.Y. - Two people were injured in an all-terrain-vehicle accident Friday night in the Town of Holland.
The accident happened in a field near Day Road shortly before midnight.
The Erie County Sheriff's Office says that Jeffrey Niedzwiecki, 46, was operating the ATV and that Tammy Burck, 49, was riding.
Niedzwiecki reportedly lost control of the vehicle when a deer ran out front ejecting both him and Burck. Officials say neither was wearing a helmet.
Burck was taken by Mercy Flight to ECMC with severe head injuries and is listed in critical condition. Niedzwiecki was taken by ambulance to ECMC where he was treated and released.
