HAMBURG, NY - Many say Hamburg, New York is the home of the hamburger. Each year the Burger Fest is held to honor and enjoy the hamburger and also raise money for the community.
Burger Fest is held on the 3rd Saturday of every July, but this year's festival is special. Hamburg is celebrating it's 200th birthday!
A bicentennial king and queen will be announced as well as the winner of the beard-growing contest. If growing a beard isn't your thing, the festival also offers live music, a kids space, arts and crafts and tons of great food.
The Rotary Club of Hamburg, the Hamburg Rotary Sunrise Club, the Kiwanis Club and the Lions Club all benefit from Saturday's event which runs until 11pm Saturday night.
