BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Several AT&T Wireless customers contacted us on Facebook and Twitter, asking why they were having data problems with their smartphones.
Some were receiving data at slower than normal speeds; others not at all.
It turns out there was a problem. An AT&T representative responded to our inquiry by issuing the following statement:
"Earlier today, due to a third-party's activities, some customers in the Western New York area may have experienced issues with their wireless service. Technicians quickly worked to resolve the issue, and service is currently running normally. We apologize for any inconvenience to our customers."
